Edition
Not every fire needs you.
By Adrian Dunkley & the AI Boss team
From the 21 October 2026 edition. News, event dates and tool details reflect that edition.
When every request arrives marked urgent, the loudest problem wins. Build a small decision desk today so your team can sort smoke from fire.
01 / TOOL TIP · CHATGPT
Give interruptions a rulebook
Select New project in ChatGPT’s sidebar and name it “Interrupt desk”. Add your approved escalation rules and current priorities. From the project’s more-options menu, choose Project settings and instruct ChatGPT to cite the rule it uses, flag missing facts and leave final approval to a named person.
Projects are available to signed-in users, subject to plan and workspace settings; file limits vary by plan. ChatGPT access is supported in Jamaica. Use approved, non-sensitive material and follow your organisation’s data rules.

03 / REDDIT PICK
In a 19 October small-business discussion, an owner says constant issues crowd out strategic work. Commenters suggest defining emergencies and logging interruptions. These are anecdotes, not verified performance evidence. Our adaptation: let ChatGPT compare each request with your written rules; a person still decides what moves.

04 / TWO AI DEVELOPMENTS
CARIBBEAN · REPORTED 20 OCT · LAUNCHED 19 OCT 2026
Jamaican founders launch an AI workforce venture
The Jamaica Observer reports that Burchell Gordon and Bevon King launched Miami-based MORE Workforce, initially targeting the US and Caribbean. Its claimed capabilities have not been independently tested here. Our takeaway: trial one defined responsibility, record corrections and name the human escalation point.
GLOBAL · ANNOUNCED 20 OCT 2026
Zoom connects conversations to AI workflows
Zoom introduced a Unified Context Layer linking conversations with documents and connected systems. Availability varies: some APIs are available now, while several controls and features are scheduled later. Our takeaway: map who may access meeting context, how long it is kept and who checks actions before connecting systems.

AI Officer — Board level training
StarApple AI helps boards and executive teams examine an AI investment before approval: the business value, accountable owner, data boundaries, review evidence and stopping rule. Bring a live proposal so the discussion stays attached to a real decision.

05 / AI BOSS SHOW & TELL · RECENT BUILD
Does your escalation policy satisfy the people using it?
On 15 October, Adrian shared that he had built a Board Meter with AI to assess documents against specific stakeholders.
Try the Stakeholder Meter approach on an approved escalation policy. Supply priorities operations, finance and customer service actually confirm. Ask for: priority | supporting passage | gap or conflict | proposed edit. Flag assumptions and infer no private preferences. Any rating is an editorial judgment, not a prediction of approval.
